Side by side

What is in each plan

Including the things that are not. Where a row says Quoted, it is real work we will price for you — it is not in any plan, and we would rather say so here than have you find out in week one.

Every row is answered for every plan, so nothing is left to guess at.

What you actually see

You will not be buried in email

The line answers every call. You hear about the ones that need you, and you get the rest as a summary — because a service that emails you forty times a day is a service you start ignoring, and then you miss the one that mattered.

The moment it happens

Only when someone needs you

A text and an email when a caller leaves a message, asks for someone and misses them, says it is urgent, or rings after hours and needs following up. A call the line handled on its own sends you nothing, because there is nothing for you to do.

Every evening

The day on one page

Who rang, what they wanted, and what happened, one line each. Anyone still owed a call back is at the top, so nothing is forgotten overnight. Recordings and transcripts are one click away rather than in your inbox.

Every second Monday

Where to improve

How many calls, how many the line handled without you, how many hung up, your busiest hour, and what people actually ring about. Plus the full call log as a spreadsheet you can sort. It ends with what is worth looking at, worked out from your own numbers.

Recordings and transcripts are never emailed. They sit behind your login, where they are searchable and where you can have them deleted on request — which is not possible once a transcript has been posted into three inboxes.

Why it pays for itself

What changes in your business

The calls you were missing turn into enquiries

A call that rings out is a customer who rings the next company on the list. The line answers on the first ring, every time, and takes a name, a number and what they wanted — so the ones you never knew about arrive as messages you can act on.

After hours stops being dead time

Most small businesses are shut for more hours of the week than they are open. Callers at seven in the evening get a real conversation and leave their details, instead of a voicemail beep they hang up on.

Nobody falls through the gap

Everyone owed a call back is on one list at the end of the day, with their number and what they asked about. It is very hard to forget someone who is on that list, and very easy to forget someone who is on a sticky note.

You find out what people keep ringing about

The fortnightly report shows what callers actually asked for, when they rang, and where they gave up. That is the difference between guessing at your busy hour and staffing it, or answering the same question forty times and putting it on your website instead.

No percentages, because we have not run a study and you should not trust one we made up. Every claim here is something you can check against your own call log in the free fortnight.

One-time

Setting it up

We build it around your business and test it on real calls before it answers one of yours. Waived on any annual plan. These are starting points, not a menu — what it costs depends on how callers reach your team, so we look first and quote, with no discovery fee.

from $199

One or two phones

Calls go to an owner or a manager on a mobile or a direct line. Usually an afternoon of work.

from $399

Departments and rules

Several people, who takes what, their own hours, who covers out of hours, quiet hours at night.

from $749

Switchboard or PBX

One main number with extensions behind it. We map every extension and test each one before you go live.

Canada and the United States today. The line works anywhere, but carrier costs outside North America differ enough that we price those one at a time — ask, and we will tell you straight away whether it adds up for you.

While we are still small enough to say yes

Three reasons to be early

A fortnight on your own line

Two weeks answering your real number, free. If it is not earning its keep, walk away and keep the call records.

Founding rate

The first ten businesses keep this price for two years, whatever it becomes afterwards.

Setup waived on annual

Pay for the year and onboarding is free, whichever setup you need — the whole build, on us.

Questions

About the money

What counts as a minute?

Connected time on your line — ours while we answer, and yours once we have put a caller through to you. A ringing phone costs nothing, and neither does a month you barely use.

What if I go over?

35 cents a minute, billed to the second. No surprise tier, no cliff. If you are over it consistently we will tell you to move up a plan, because it is cheaper for you than the overage.

Why is setup quoted rather than fixed?

Because the work is genuinely different. Pointing calls at an owner's mobile is an afternoon. Mapping a switchboard means getting every extension right and testing each one. We look at your setup first and quote it, with no discovery fee.

Is there a contract?

No. Leave whenever you like, and take your call records with you. The annual plan exists because it saves you the setup fee, not to tie you in.

How do you work out which plan I need?

We look at a month of your real calls before you choose. Guessing wastes your money or ours, and neither starts a relationship well.

What is not included?

Connections to your other systems — calendar booking, job or shipment lookups, writing to your CRM. Those are real, but they are their own piece of work and we quote them separately rather than implying they come free.

Start with the free fortnight

On your real number. Nothing to cancel if you walk away.
